DOROTHY O'SHEA lives and works out of VICTORIA BC CANADA on the WEST COAST. She is an ARTISAN working in multi-media and showing her work in a number of venues around victoria. As an artisan skilled in the use of textural materials, her work incorporates and transforms textures into art. The artform itself has a 3D quality and being three dimensional the light plays off the color of fabrics and modelling she does, creating a marvellous vibrant final result. The colours she uses compliment and enhance the dimensional look of the works. Dorothy O'Shea is truly an artist extraordinaire in her multi media use of textiles to create wall hangings that look like 3D paintings. She also sells her work as the most realistic giclee reproductions one is likely to encounter and these prints are archival and true to the original artwork in almost every way.
